AUGUSTUS FUNERAL HOME REGRETS TO ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF: – Mr Quinton Gilbert Place. Mr Quinton Gilbert Place fell asleep in death on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11:52 AM at the age of 83 years old.He resides in Charlotte, NC. Quinton was born on February 22, 1929 to Daniel Place and Edith Gilbert Place in Devonshire, Bermuda.He was one of ten children and was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Also surviving are: his wife of 54 years Lois Place, three daughters, Vorice Meshelle Benjamin (Brian), Andrea Place, Robin Black (Kevin), and two sons, Carl Place and Christopher Gibbs. He also leaves behind six siblings, Sylvia Smith, Virginia Degraph, Lola Hill, Audrey Francis, Marion Robinson (Wesley), and Ivan Place, two sisters-in-laws, Marva Phillips and Brenda Swan-Davis, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. The Memorial Service for Quinton Place was held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM at 3630 Hubbard Road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
