A Home-Going Service celebrating the life of DORIS JOSEPHINE HEYLIGER CORBIN, MBE, beloved wife of the late Clarence Corbin and loving mother of George Corbin (Lien), Charles ‘Canty’ Cobin (Janet) and the late Michael Corbin, the daughter of the late William Heyliger and Dorcas Franklin Heyliger, sister of the late Alice Cordice and Rufus Heyliger, grandmother of Carlos Corbin and Michelle Corbin, in her 104th year of life of ‘Nibroc Nook’, 6 Cemetery Lane, Pembroke. A celebration of Mrs Cobin’s remarkable life will begin with a viewing on Friday, September 11, at the Augustus Funeral Home Rose Chapel, between 7 and 9pm. Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 12 at St Paul AME Church, Hamilton. Interment will follow at St John’s Anglican Church. She also leaves to cherish her memory niece Helen Foster, nephews Miles Manders and Merritt Manders (Poria), great nieces Lynette Brown, Rene Browne, Rebekah Foster, Diane Foster, great-nephew Michael Brown and other family and close friends locally and internationally, too numerous to mention. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs Corbin’s memory may be made to the Bermuda Feline Assistance Bureau, PO Box WK 91, Warwick WK BX. Maxi her cat, (rescued), brought her comfort, especially after the passing of her beloved Clarence.

A Home Going service celebrating the life of MALCOLM GEORGE MACDONALD AUGUSTUS, beloved husband of Claudia Augustus, son of the late George and Dorothy Augustus, loving father of Dorothy Augustus, Melva Paynter (Vernon ‘Butch’) and Deborah Bean; brother of the late Gladstone Augustus (Phyllis), Leslie ‘Teller’ Virgil (Idell) and Glenda Woods in his 83rd year of #1 Henry’s Hill, Bailey’s Bay will be held at Christ Anglican Church Devonshire Today, September 11th at 3:00pm.Interment will follow at Christ Church Devonshire Cemetery.  Flowers may be sent.Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Christ Church Devonshire Chapel Today, September 11th from 2:00 – 2:55pm. Malcolm Augustus was the grandfather of the late Malcolm ‘Cricket’ Augustus, Quincy Paynter (Patrina), Vernita Hollis (Germaine), Michelle Hodsoll and Jamel Williams; great-grandfather of the late Malcolm ‘Quayshaun’ Augustus, Keishaun Augustus, Jaquari Paynter, Darren, M’Kai and Monique Hodsoll, Jahde Dowling and Jayda Dill.  Mr. Augustus was also loved and survived by his aunt: Blanche Tucker; uncle: Richard Johnson (Mary); sisters-in-law: Gretal & Phyllis Eversley and Grace James; brothers-in-law: Gerald James (Gloria), Richard James (Valerie), Maurice James (Mary), Ronald James (Marion) ,George James; godchildren: Renee and Tisha James, Gina, Lisa and Angela James, Pamela Smith, Eldo Campbell, Earnest Thomas and Tony James; special cousins: Brenda & Carmen Augustus; special friends: George Morton, Audey Campbell, Herman ‘Butch’ Smith, Alan ‘Popsie’ Smith, Roger Steel, Edith Thomas and Juanita ‘Cookie’ Knight; caregivers: Gladys Caisey and a Heaven sent angel, Sally Rochester; and an abundance of family and friends, too numerous to mention.
