A Home-Going Service for Rev. Cynthia E. Holmes (nee Bean) of Hyattsville, Maryland, U.S.A. formerly of North Hill, Pembroke in her 82nd year former teacher at the Berkeley Institute will be held at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Court Street, Hamilton Today, February 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Cynthia E. Holmes is the loving daughter of the late Stanley and Josephine Bean, cherished mother of Eugenia M. Holmes and the late Jay Holmes, sister of Leroy, Lauretta, Senator Q. Charles Bean and Dorothea Simons (pre-deceased). Interment will follow at Pembroke Parish Cemetery, Pembroke. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at St. Paul A.M.E. Church Hall, Court Street, Hamilton Today from 12:00 – 12:55 p.m. Also surviving are Sisters-in-law: Mrs. Barbara G. Bean and Mrs. Theresa Carroll, nephews and nieces: Randolph Bean (Maxine), Marlene Smith, Grace W. Bean, McRee Bean (Ida), Quinton B. Bean, JP (Anita), Lionel Bean, Janet B.E. Nusum (Melvin), Malcolm Bean, David C.A. Bean (Godson), Howard Bean Michelle), R. Kent Bean (Rondelle), Mark A.F. Bean, Dornelle Furbert (Wilfred), Paul E. Simons and Wanda Robinson (Jared). God-children: Jill Dill and Dr. Cindy Morris-Astwood. Special friends: Mesdames O’Rita Morris, Marion Matthews, Edwena Smith, Eloise Dzofonoo and Dr. Eva Hodgson. Special cousins: Sheila Brown and family, Grace Carroll Massey and Family, Ward Memorial Church family, Heard Chapel A.M.E. Church family and numerous family members and friends.
