AUGUSTUS FUNERAL HOME REGRETS TO ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF: – Lucille Alice Boyce.Lucille Alice Boyce was born on March 16, 1928 to the late Cyril Dears and Grace Elizabeth Trott in Spanish Point, Bermuda. The oldest of 8 children growing up in Bermuda. She had two children Michael ‘Mickey’ & Lillian Dears ‘Penny’ in Bermuda. She left Bermuda in 1948 meet and married Lucius Boyce and had two children Kim and Deborah Boyce.Lucille’s siblings who have all passed on in Bermuda include the late June Hassell, Gilda Barbour, Greta Smith, Glenda Simmons, Coleridge Dears and Bervin Dears. Lucille also had three of her own children that passed on before her as well including Deborah Boyce-Allbritton, Michael Dears and Lillian Dears-Anderson. Lucille is survived by her sisters Aunt Ann Furbert in Bermuda & Jennifer Potts in NY and special sister Patricia Bell. She’s also survived by daughter Kim Boyce, and grandson Kiwan Anderson, granddaughters Tracy Anderson, Anthea Gibbons & Samantha Boyce, & grandsons Larry Anderson,  Brandon Boyce and special grandson Mike Saunders, great grandsons Kerschon Anderson, Quron Anderson, Miles Anderson, great great granddaughter Zanai Anderson, nieces Gina Potts, Kelly Potts, great nieces Jennifer Doss, Jade Lee Potts, great great nephew Jordan Doss and godchildren Patricia Gilmore, John “JJ” Bullard Jr., Daxmillian Cannon & Charisma Hammond and niece Judthann Hunt. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews in Bermuda including Dawn Dublin, Carlene Tucker, Donna and Collin Simmons, Dionne Smith, Shawn Hunt, Tiko Furbert and special nieces Collene Rahman and Joy Trott. Her great nephews and nieces include Desai Jones, Kyjuan Simmons, Elliott Simmons, Kershun and Kamion Dublin, Yusef Simmons, Donika Simmons, Toshmal & Carlisha Tucker, Shaday Simmons, Kayla Simmons & Kenjay Smith, Darin and Darius Woolridge and Sheniqua Hunt, Kippy & Ebony Williams. Special “mates” and extended family of Lucille included special cousin Sylvia Pearman-Pullen, Pauline Augustus best friends the late Irma Gilmore, Sue King, Sondra Davis, Norriette Jackson-Hayden, Rosa Roane, Carolyn Brown, Rhoda and special friends the late Martin Younger and Willy Sawyer. A special thank you from the family to Yolanda Rodriguez and Shellon Clonmell who helped take amazing care of Lucille during her final days with us. On December 18th, 2012 at 4:30pm, Lucille’s finals wishes to pass away peacefully at her home were honored with her immediate family and friends at her bedside. Lucille was 84 years old.
